To begin the special education referral process for your child, submit a written request for evaluation. This can be done by sending an email or hard copy of the request to the campus principal at your child’s school. If your child is too young to enroll in school the request can be sent to the principal at the early childhood campuses (Fred Douglas or Perrin Early Childhood Centers) or the district 孩子找到 contact, 安德里亚•肯尼迪 lavbrown@shermanisd.网. If you are not sure who to send the request to, you can send it to the Director of Special Education, 梅丽莎·拉米雷斯, mramirez@shermanisd.网. To submit a hard copy, bring your written request to Central Office, 洛伊湖路2701号, 谢尔曼TX, 75090 ℅ 安德里亚•肯尼迪 or Dr. 吉尔Schurr.  In your request please include what specific concerns you have regarding your child, and the areas of functioning you are requesting evaluation in (for example, 数学, 阅读, 行为, 沟通, 等……).  Please see the linked flyers below for additional information about the special education referral process:
