Dillingham Intermediate School History


  • Miss Evorie Dillingham was born in a log cabin by parents who came to Texas in a covered wagon. This daughter of pioneer stock proceeded to carve an enviable record by her own endeavors.
    She served students in Texas for over 50 years as a teacher, principal and coach.
    The mayor of the city of Sherman named September 22, 1963, Miss Evorie Dillingham Day and Dillingham Intermediate School was named in her honor.
