Nancy Nicholson Jung began her education journey in Sherman at Wakefield Elementary and graduated from Sherman High School.  She continued on at Trinity University in San Antonio, with a Bachelors of Education in Elementary and Special Education, and a Masters in School Administration. 

Her life as an educator began at the Winston School of Dallas and continued in Allen ISD. A goal to spend twenty years in the classroom was met by teaching in third, fourth, and fifth and Multi-Age third through fourth classrooms, as well as intervention support and Special Education teacher.  Her most recent experiences have been as Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Rountree and Boyd Elementary in Allen. Mrs. Jung became the 21st Jefferson Elementary Principal in 2019, and loved joining the faculty of Jefferson Elementary and it's long legacy of educating Sherman students since it's founding in Sherman in 1896.  

This school year, Perrin Early Childhood Center will open to serve PreKindgergarten and Head Start Students for a full day schedule. Mrs. Jung considers opening this campus to be a career highlight, and is proud to lead a very dedicated group of educators in welcoming students and families to the Perrin Campus.  Perrin Jets will soon be soaring to new adventures together!
