Ms. Karrissa Norris

Karrissa Norris brings 17 years of experience in public education in North Texas and a strong track record of supporting student academic performance and behavior.

As an assistant principal at Dillingham, she prioritized relationships with students, parents, and staff, implemented training to support science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) instruction, and helped teachers enhance the learning environment.

Prior to coming to Sherman, Norris spent several years as a campus academic and behavior support specialist in Frisco ISD, where she also worked as a math teacher and math intervention facilitator. She has extensive experience working with teachers to implement best practices in the classroom, respond to the individual needs of students, and put plans in place to support student achievement.

Principal Norris is excited about the opportunity to establish connections and relationships at Neblett to benefit students.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of North Texas and her master of education in leadership and policy studies from The University of Texas at Arlington. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Judson, and her three grown boys: Dylan, Tyler, and Christopher.
