Mr. Jim May

Jim May has been with Sherman ISD  as the Special Programs Principal since 2016.  His responsibilities cover Jefferson Learning Center, D.A.E.P, Grayson County Juvenile Detention Center, and the Grayson County Post-Adjudication Program.  

Before working for Sherman ISD, Mr. May was the Assistant Principal at B. McDaniel Middle School in Denison, Texas.  Prior to being an administrator, he was a Special Education teacher and administrative intern at Pathways High School in Denison as well.

Mr. May grew up in Western Oklahoma graduating from Clinton High School.  He went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  He later completed his master’s degree in educational administration from SOSU as well.

Mr. May enjoys spending time with his family and working with the prison ministry team and the motorcycle ministry at his church.  In his free time, he likes to build hot rod cars, and ride his motorcycle.
