Rebecca McCright, an experienced instructional leader and campus administrator, is principal of Crutchfield Elementary. She joined Sherman ISD in 2024 after serving as principal of Bush Elementary in Midland ISD for the past four years. 

Prior to becoming a principal, McCright was an elementary assistant principal for two years and an elementary curriculum specialist for two years at bilingual campuses. She also has nearly 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, having taught grades 3-7 in Midland and Kerrville ISDs. During her time in the classroom, she was selected to help develop and review state learning standards for English Language Arts and Reading at the elementary level.

McCright values strong partnerships, collaboration, and targeted support and coaching for teachers to address the academic needs of students. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Angelo State University.
