• Classroom Procedures
     

    Entering the classroom
    o
    Enter the classroom 安静的ly.
    o Go directly to your assigned seat.
    o Begin working on your warm-up.
    o Remain 安静的 until given further directions.

    在指令
    o
    Listen to the teacher with full attention.
    o No pencil sharpening, talking, or whispering.
    o Ask permission to speak by calmly raising your hand and waiting patiently to be called upon.
    o
    Ask questions related to the topic. Non-related questions (bathroom, drink) may be asked after instruction is over.
    o
    Make sure you understand the concept. If you do not, ask questions to help you understand. You may be helping others understand, too!

    While you are working
    o
    Read directions carefully
    o If you don’t understand, 安静的ly ask the student next to you for help.
    o
    If you are asked to help, be polite, kind, and offer your best.
    o
    Talking should be no louder than a whisper.
    o
    Respect each other and be friendly.
    o 合理利用时间. Put forth your best effort to complete your work correctly and on time.

    When you are finished working

     

    o Reread the directions and check over your work to be sure you have completed the assignment correctly and have given your best effort.
    o
    Hold the assignment until the teacher asks you to turn it in.
    o
    Begin working on your cool-down, then read or work on other unfinished assignments.  

    Collecting papers (silently):

    o
    Pass papers to your left instead of up the row.
    o
    Lay the paper on the desk next to you.
    o
    夫人. Richard will pick up the piles from the students on the far left.  

    When you need to get out of your seat

    o 铅笔削尖- raise手, wait for the teacher to acknowledge you, point to pencil sharpener, get up and sharpen your pencil.
    o
    拿纸巾—same procedure, except point at tissue box. Quietly take tissue and blow your nose just outside of the door. Come in 安静的ly, throw away your tissue, and return to your seat.

    下课的时候
    Check your desk to make sure it is aligned and that there isn’t any trash in your area.

    解雇

    o The bell does not dismiss the class; the students do not dismiss the class. The teacher dismisses the class.
    o
    Remain in your seats until dismissed. Do NOT get up until you are told to do so.
    o Make sure your area is clean and free of garbage. If there is garbage, please throw it out, then return to your desk.
    o
    The teacher will dismiss you once everyone is in their seat, 安静的, and the classroom is free of garbage.


    During an announcement:
    o Stop speaking and moving immediately upon the announcement signal.
    o
    Listen closely to the announcement.

    卫生间

    o
    You are allowed to use the restroom during passing time.
    o
    Feel free to ask before the bell to use the restroom and return shortly after the bell.
    o
    In an emergency, you may fill out your planner and raise it above your head. If “emergencies” become frequent, this will be a problem.

    When there are visitors

    o
    Do not stop what you are doing.
    o Do not call out to the visitor.
    o
    Remain in your seat 安静的ly.

    当你迟到时

    o
    夫人的方法. Richard’s desk with your tardy pass and your Paw Plan out.
    o Inform her of your excuse or give her your tardy pass.
    o
    Go to your seat after you have been given permission to do so.
    o
    You are not excused from any work that took place while you were tardy. Ask a classmate 安静的ly for the assignment and do it at home.

    When you have been absent

    o
    Bring the teacher your attendance slip.
    o
    Check the Absence File Sorter for the assignments you missed.
    o Complete the work according to the guidelines stated in your student handbook.
